Gayle Arnson graduated from Minot State College with a secondary education degree in music. She taught music in North Dakota for seven years before leaving to raise her three children. In 1989, Gayle returned to teaching as a Tutor in Training for special education. In 1994, she earned a Master’s of Education degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Gayle was first introduced to Control Theory during her years as a graduate student. She attended the Basic Control Theory week through the Glasser Institute and applied her learning while working with emotionally disabled students. In the late nineties, Diane Gossen came to Williston and introduced the ideas of Restitution. She returned for many years to teach educator’s in the Williston area. Gayle’s teachers include Diane Gossen, Judy Anderson, Laurel Chelsom, Yves Bousquet. Bruce Innes, Mary Otto, Teresa Rosen, Ted Amendt, and her Restitution Team members in Williston.
Gayle continues to be involved with learning and teaching Restitution ideas to parents, students, and fellow educators. She is employed as a special education teacher for Williston Middle School in Williston, North Dakota. |
