Lyle Morris

Lyle Morris has been teaching six years, currently High School Math at Dakota Collegiate.  He has taught all grades, with the exception of 1 and 2 and has been utilizing Restitution in his teaching for the last four years.  He leads the Restitution Committee at Dakota Collegiate and has sat on the divisional Restitution Curriculum writing team.

"The reason Restitution works for me is because it works, and it makes sense.~ It's not something I 'turn on' when I walk into the school – the training is something I draw upon in every aspect of my life.~ My relationships are stronger because of it - conflict is an opportunity to grow and learn and improve relationships, not something to shy away from.  I think Restitution should be part of any wellness curriculum, as it gives you the tools to 'take control' of your own life, and the tools to respond to difficult situations.~ The reason it works for students is because they go into a situation after a mistake has been made with their heads down, but leave with their heads up - because they have come up with a solution and they are going to fix it.~ And they're stronger for it."
